BRAD'S BUDDIES: DAY ONE

I have to start my "report" by saying that in my five years of going to various sets for the adult industry, both straight and gay, I have never been on a happier set than "Brads Buddies." Always theres some sort of problem, isnt there? Either someone doesnt want to have sex with their scene partner, or a director is pulling his hair out because hes short on time. You know the story! But on the set of "Brads Buddies," even Heidi Pike-Johnson of AVN Insider agreed with me, "This is the happiest set Ive ever seen. Theres a real positive energy about it." What seemed like it would be three days of grueling hard work turned out to be three of the most fun and memorable days of my life.

To what do we credit this "happiness" and "positive vibe"? After decades in the adult entertainment business, manager/agent David Forest proved his abilities as a producer with "Brads Buddies," hiring only people who would be low-drama and happy to be there. Of course, "Buddies" is Forests own life story; the name "Brad" used as his nom de plum back when he ran the escort circle as the gay male version of Heidi Fleiss. Both Forest and Fleiss had their empires crumble about the same time and since then, hes started Forest Entertainment as a manager and agent to some of the highest-paid and most popular gay porn stars of his generation and mine.

I arrive on the set of "Brads Buddies" to find Adam Hart slipping into his undies, his limp but still rather large cock and balls, flopping around as he goes. His body is rather mesmerizing and I can think of no better way to enter a set.

I am greeted by producer Thor Stephans, who is taking to the directors chair today, as Chad Donovan has come down with a nasty case of vertigo. Stephans has directed a series of movies for Pacific Sun Entertainment, the most recent of which was the 2002 GayVN Nominated Palmers Lust. Naturally, were all in good hands.

Stephans catches a glimpse of Adam Hart, who is now donning his black Calvin Klein boxer briefs, and carefully asks him if hes brought any underwear in white. "Did they tell me to bring white?" he asks. "If they did, I forgot." Stephans rolls his eyes and asks if theres anyway to get him a pair of white underwear within the next ten minutes before hes slated to shoot his box cover stills. & Wouldnt you know, I just went underwear shopping yesterday at Macys? I reveal that I am, in fact, wearing a brand new pair of white Calvin Klein boxer briefs, that are practically brand new Ive been wearing them less than 30 minutes. I knew Id make my way into this movie one way or another.

I strip down and hand my boxer briefs over to Adam Hart. Stephans thanks me and insists that the white will look so much better against his bright, open-buttoned Hawaiian shirt. Hart is portraying the title character and anyone who knows "David/Brad" knows his affinity for Hawaiian shirts. In fact, it may very well be all that the man owns. Still, even in the Hawaiian shirt, Hart looks nothing like our Miss Forest.

Rod Barry and Jeremy Tucker arrive next, both of whom are slated to perform an S&M-themed dungeon scene. Barry is a total star. He walks into a room and it lights up. Theres little he loves more than a camera or an audience and he has no fear of "hamming it up" sexually-speaking throughout his scene. Theres lots of spitting, spanking, and verbal abuse all three of which are my favorite things!

Tucker is an actor all the way. He needs his time to prepare himself and get into character before the cameras start to roll. "Im playing someone really submissive today and thats not usually me," he explains, "so I have to get into that frame of mind in order to let myself really enjoy it."

For the most part, Jeremy Tucker enjoys himself immensely, and who wouldnt with Rod Barry? But there is one uncomfortable moment when he requests that Barry not spit on him. "I mean, you can spit, I guess," he sighs, "but just dont do it a lot and please dont do it on my face." So Barry, in all his brilliance, decides that anytime he gets the urge to spit on his submissive bottom boy, he will instead throw his head back and spit into the air, the drops of salvia falling down onto Tuckers back as he fucks him. It looks even hotter than before!

Meanwhile, outside the dungeon, Jason McCain has arrived and is being interviewed by the aforementioned Heidi Pike-Johnson of AVN Insider. The once straight sex, now gay sex performer nearly charms the pants off her and admits hes looking forward to his scene with Dane Brando.

The chemistry between Jason McCain and Dane Brando continues to brew in the hours leading up to their sex scene. McCain plays one of Brads buddies to Brandos jealous boyfriend. Stephans has them improv their way into the sex, McCain storming into the room in a rage that Brando told Brad to "fuck off" when he called earlier in the day. "How am I supposed to pay our rent this month now?" shouts McCain. "I need him and I need that money! Say youre sorry!"

The two boys wrestle across the bed, Brando screaming, "Never! Ill never say Im sorry, never!" until McCain pins him onto the mattress and starts to grind up against him.

"Tell me you want this," demands McCain. Brando pulls the old, "Dont! Stop! & Dont stop!" routine and finally concedes to letting McCain have his way with him. After some hot sixty-nine action, McCain plows his ass in doggy and missionary. Between takes, he cant stop being the "jokester" McCain is known to be and the two laugh uproariously with the rest of the crew.

It is the perfect end to the first day.
