AXEL BRAUN'S "COMPULSION" WINS BIG AT XRCO AWARDS
New Sensations/Digital Sin contract director Axel Braun's film "Compulsion" takes home two of the prestigious XRCO Awards.
(CHATSWORTH, CA) -- New Sensations/Digital Sin contract director AXEL BRAUN was thrilled to see his movie "Compulsion" take in two of the X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) Awards last Thursday evening at the ceremony in Century City, California. The dark and edgy feature earned the Best Film nod, beating out three Vivid movies, and adding more proof that BRAUN is one of the most genuinely talented directors in the adult business. His lead actress, ASHLEY LONG also was awarded for her work in "Compulsion" with the Best Single Performance, Actress honor.
AXEL BRAUN had already been honored with two of the prestigious AVN Awards in January for "Compulsion," as well as six Adam Film World (AFW) Awards last June, including Best Director and Best Film.
"I'm extremely flattered by the praise that 'Compulsion' has received over the past year. It's always great to see your hard work pay off," says BRAUN, "and in this case it was really, really hard work on the part of many talented people. Getting recognition is a great incentive to keep doing better and try to raise the bar, and that's exactly what I intend to do."
So when is AXEL coming out with another big budget feature? "Not until next year. I've been shooting straight hardcore gonzo for over six months now, and I'm enjoying every minute of it!"
And apparently so is everybody else, since the response to BRAUN's new gonzo series "Anal Retentive," "Fucking Assholes" and "Double Teamed" has been terrific, and his porn-educational, "Squirting 101" is selling record-breaking numbers. Bravo, AXEL!
