MICKY'S NAMES JASON SECHREST NEW "COCKTAILS" HOST

After being named the weekly event's new regular host, Jason Sechrest kicks off an all-new and improved "Cocktails with the Stars" tonight, from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm (PT), with the 4th Annual "Holiday Cocktails with the Forest Men," featuring Rhett O'Hara and Sam Tyson, at Micky's in West Hollywood, California.

(WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA) -- West Hollywood's most popular night spot, Micky's, announced yesterday that adult entertainment personality, Jason Sechrest, has been named the new regular host of their weekly gay porn star event, "Cocktails with the Stars." For the past three years, "Cocktails" has been hosted and promoted by the legendary gay XXX video star, Will Clark, and has undergone a series of "guest hosts" over the course of the past few months. Sechrest served as one of those guest hosts during the latter part of November and soon thereafter was propositioned by the club to take over the position permanently. "Are you kidding me? I've never been more excited in my life!" exclaimed Sechrest, in a statement on his official web site, JasonCurious.com, this morning. "'Cocktails with the Stars' is read about in so many gay adult magazines and web sites that it has truly turned Micky's into a world-famous club over the past seven years. I feel I have a lot that I can bring to the show, both as a host and a publicist."

Sechrest says he has made minor changes in the hosting format, giving it a fresh energy and new life. "I had been doing some work in stand-up comedy at The Improv over the course of the past year, and I've been doing my KSEXRadio show, 'The Young & the Curious,' every Friday night, so I've grown really accustomed to opening things with a monologue. I did this when I guest hosted 'Cocktails' in November and the response was way beyond what I had expected. ... I've also tried coming up with unique ideas for what to do with the show's guests, everything from playing Truth or Dare with them live on stage to going out into the crowd and giving the customers their opportunity to ask the porn stars anything. I think the show is a lot more audience-interactive than it's ever been before. It's become very unpredictable and I love that energy! You never know what's going to happen next!"

Kicking off his new regular hosting position tonight, Thursday, December 5th, Sechrest hosts the first of four "Holiday Cocktails with the Forest Men," featuring two of gay porn's hottest newcomers of the year, Rhett O'Hara and Sam Tyson, from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm (PT). Rhett O'Hara, famous for his southern drawl, bad boy tattoos, and verbally aggressive sex scenes, has been buzzed by many of gay adult's leading columnists as the year's hottest newcomer and is currently featured in producer/director Blue Blake's blockbuster, "Cowboy," as well as MSR's "Road Trip" and "First Crush." Sam Tyson was also recently named Instinct magazine's "Best Adult Film Newcomer" of 2002, as he stars in Studio 2000's upcoming Derek Kent action-thriller, "Goldenrod." Autographed copies of both O'Hara and Tyson's videos will be raffled off throughout the night.

December's 4th Annual "Holiday Cocktails with the Forest Men" will continue all month. Rocky, Rod Barry, and Stonie will come out to celebrate gay porn's top talent agent/manager, David Forest, on his 54th birthday, next Thursday, December 12th, followed by bad boy and gay XXX super star, Billy Brandt, on Thursday, December 19th, and Caesar's annual "Cocktails" birthday bash on Thursday, December 26th, featuring Forest as a one-night only guest host.
