MAYOR PRO TEM, JOHN DURAN, TO KICK OFF WEHO'S HIV PREVENTION & GAY PRIDE MONTH AT "COCKTAILS WITH THE FOREST MEN" TONIGHT

Tonight, Thursday, June 5th, not only kicks off Micky's month-long "Cocktails with the Forest Men," but also marks the beginning of West Hollywood's HIV Prevention and Gay Pride month, with special guest speaker, Mayor Pro Tempore, John Duran.

(WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA) -- There is no better time to be in West Hollywood than the month of June, a time of year that is synonymous with three things: HIV awareness, gay pride, and gay porn. The kick off for all three will be tonight, Thursday, June 5th, at the world-famous West Hollywood night spot, Micky's, during their weekly event, "Cocktails with the Stars," hosted by Jason Sechrest, from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm. Special guest speakers will take to the stage at the beginning of the show tonight to discuss the all-new national campaign, "HIV Stops With Me," the local chapter for which is run by West Hollywood's own Gay & Lesbian Community Center. Those who will speaking include Mayor Pro Tempore, Jon Duran, and Peter Mackler of the Human Services Commission, as well as Dimitri Moshoyannis of Being Alive L.A., and the spokesmodels of "HIV Stops With Me."

Tonight's featured gay porn star, Rod Barry, also begins a very special month of "Cocktails with the Forest Men," an elite roster of gay XXX super stars managed by adult entertainment veteran, David Forest. Barry recently snagged the prestigious GayVN Award for Best Supporting Actor and tonight he'll be signing autographs, giving away his latest videos, and getting grilled on stage by host, Jason Sechrest.

"Cocktails with the Forest Men" continues throughout June, the month of Gay Pride and HIV Prevention, with Sam Tyson on June 12th, Billy Brandt on June 19th, and Tom Kat on June 26th. Micky's is located at 8857 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood, CA. There is never a cover charge to attend "Cocktails with the Stars."
